We serve three major Florida ports: PortMiami, Port Everglades, and Port Tampa Bay. If you also need ocean freight booking, we connect you with our trusted booking partners.

Where do you pick up from?

+
We pick up containers from anywhere in Central Florida, including Tampa, Orlando, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Kissimmee, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton and surrounding areas. If you’re outside our usual coverage area, contact us — we can likely still help.

Which ports do you deliver to?

+
We deliver to three major Florida ports: PortMiami, Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale), and Port Tampa Bay. We’ll recommend the best port for your shipment based on your ocean freight booking or destination.

Who uses your service?

+
Anyone who needs a container moved to port. That includes freight forwarders who need a reliable trucking partner, businesses exporting U.S. goods, shipping companies who need the inland trucking leg handled, and individuals shipping a full container of household goods, vehicles, or personal effects overseas.

How do I contact ViaPort?

+
We’re WhatsApp-first — message us anytime for quotes, scheduling, or updates. We also take phone calls and email. We respond within 2 hours during business hours and send WhatsApp confirmations when your container is picked up and delivered to port.
💰 Pricing

How is trucking priced?

+
We quote flat rates per move based on your pickup location and destination port. The rate covers pickup from your location, transport, and delivery to the port terminal. No mileage surprises, no fuel surcharge guessing — you get one flat number upfront.

What does the trucking price include?

+
Your trucking quote covers: pickup of the loaded container from your location, transport to the destination port, port delivery including gate coordination, and chassis handling. It does not include ocean freight, which is booked separately (we can connect you with a booking partner).

Are there any extra fees?

+
Our flat rate covers the move itself. Additional charges may apply for: wait time if loading takes longer than expected at pickup, chassis detention if the chassis is held beyond the agreed timeframe, or port storage fees charged by the port terminal (not by us). We’ll explain any potential extras upfront before you book.

How do I pay?

+
We accept Zelle, Cash App, wire transfers, checks, and cash. Payment is typically due before or at the time of pickup. For freight forwarders and recurring commercial customers, we can discuss net payment terms.
🚛 Process

How does the process work?

+
Step 1: You request a quote with your pickup location, destination port, and container size. Step 2: We confirm a flat rate and schedule the pickup. Step 3: Our truck arrives at your location and picks up the loaded container. Step 4: We deliver it to the port terminal and confirm drop-off via WhatsApp.

How far in advance do I need to book?

+
Ideally 48–72 hours before your requested pickup date. We can often accommodate shorter notice — same-day and next-day pickups are available depending on truck availability. For port deliveries tied to a vessel sailing date, book as early as possible so we can coordinate around port cut-off times.

Do you coordinate port gate appointments?

+
Yes. We handle gate scheduling at the port terminal. We coordinate arrival timing with port cut-off deadlines so your container makes the vessel. You’ll receive WhatsApp confirmation when the container is through the gate and delivered.

What do I need to have ready for pickup?

+
Have the container loaded, sealed, and accessible for our truck. Make sure there is room for the truck to maneuver and that the container is on a chassis or on the ground where our truck can reach it. Provide us with the container number, seal number, and booking reference (if you already have ocean freight booked). If the container is at a warehouse, ensure the facility knows we’re coming.

Do you provide empty container delivery?

+
Yes. If you need an empty container dropped at your location for loading, we can arrange that as well. We deliver the empty container, you load it on your schedule, and then we pick it up loaded and deliver it to port. Contact us for a quote that covers both legs.
📐 Containers

What container sizes do you haul?

+
We handle all standard sizes: 20′ Standard, 40′ Standard, 40′ High Cube, and 45′ High Cube. If you have a non-standard container (flat rack, open top, reefer), contact us and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate it.

Are there weight limits?

+
Yes. Federal road weight limits apply. A loaded container on a chassis with a truck generally cannot exceed 80,000 lbs gross vehicle weight. For a standard 20′ container, that typically means a cargo weight limit of around 44,000 lbs. For a 40′, it’s similar. If you’re shipping heavy cargo (vehicles, machinery, building materials), let us know the estimated weight when you request a quote so we can confirm.

Do I need my own chassis?

+
No. We handle all chassis arrangements. Whether the container is on a chassis at your location or sitting on the ground, we bring the right equipment to pick it up and transport it.
🚢 Ocean Freight

Does ViaPort book ocean freight?

+
We focus on the trucking side — picking up your container and delivering it to port. For ocean freight booking, we connect you with our trusted booking partners who handle vessel reservations, documentation, and international shipping. Just let us know when you request a trucking quote and we’ll make the introduction.

What if I already have ocean freight booked?

+
Perfect — that’s the most common scenario. Just give us your booking reference number, vessel name, and port cut-off date when you request a trucking quote. We’ll coordinate pickup and delivery timing to make sure your container is at the port before the vessel’s cut-off deadline.

What destinations can I ship to?

+
Our trucking service delivers to any Florida port, and from there containers ship worldwide. Our customers most commonly ship to Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya), the Caribbean (Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Trinidad, Guyana), and Central & South America (Colombia, Venezuela, Honduras, Nicaragua). The ocean freight destination is handled by your booking agent or our referral partners — we make sure the container gets to the right port on time.
